in your community.

physical activity expert.
• Talk to the counselling office at school or at work.
• Talk to friends who have built physical activity into their
daily routines and ask them how they got started.
• Go to the library and borrow a book on physical activity
and your health.
• Buy a pair of walking shoes.
• Check out what physical activity organizations exist in
your community.
• Call your provincial/territorial Recreation Department.

• Find out if a nearby mall has a walking route posted or
a regular walking program.
